At least just by the filesizes, the only model of the same target that varies nearly as much is just ours. No other model varies more than a few Kb from RC7

Used sysupgrade option of 24.10 for ax3200 on firmware-selector for flashing via web interface, got "nice" solid amber colour light... had 24.10-rc6 prior, installed using instruction on the wiki page. Thought if it is 24.10-rc6 to 24.10 release, no need to use the ssh anymore for the upgrade

Any idea how to recover?

https://openwrt.org/toh/xiaomi/ax3200 - Debricking. I used dnsmasq (TFTP) to load original firmware (beware to use right variant, Chinese or EU) and xmir-patcher to flash OpenWrt. Took about half an hour.

Coming here to report another bricked device upgrading to 24.10.0.
AX3200 (RB01) bought in September 2023, MiWiFi Release 1.0.35 out of the factory, flashed openwrt-22.03.5-mediatek-mt7622-xiaomi_redmi-router-ax6s-squashfs-factory.bin with xiaomi-enable-mesh-telnet.py and 2021 bootloader method.

Tried to upgrade to 24.10.0 following the wiki Flash the factory image using mtd (recommended) method with openwrt-24.10.0-mediatek-mt7622-xiaomi_redmi-router-ax6s-factory.bin, bricked after reboot (bootloop).

Recovered to stock firmware miwifi_rb01_firmware_bbc77_1.0.71_INT.bin (telnet is enabled by default), then tried to flash openwrt-24.10.0-mediatek-mt7622-xiaomi_redmi-router-ax6s-factory.bin the same way previously flashed openwrt-22.03.5-mediatek-mt7622-xiaomi_redmi-router-ax6s-squashfs-factory.bin, because wiki says Procedure for flashing from vendor firmware shouldn't change, bricked again.

Recovered to stock firmware again and flashed 22.03.5, now it's back in working order.

The release announcement and related wiki section should be updated ASAP.

I did my own 24.10.0 build (from source repository) and it is working fine (updated one AX3200 and one AX6S). So the problem seems to be with the official 24.10.0 image file for these devices - something went wrong with the official 24.10.0 image build.

It's been reported in multiple threads on the forum. You can also do an attended sysupgrade from an rc to final. 24.10.0 works fine, just don't use the current downloads from February 4th.

I can confirm I upgraded one of my AX3200's from rc7 to final without issues. The other one I bricked and flashed to rc7, I'll do that one when I not depended on my internet connection (that sounds so sad)

You updated from 24.10.X to 24.10.X and this is not the same as updating from 23.X.
I understand that this is the question.
23 and 24 have a completely different memory layout.

Of course those steps need to be taken, that's clear from the wiki, but you can flash 23 to any 24.10 rc and then to 24.10 using the attended the sysupgrade, or you can wait.
