Adding OpenWrt support for Xiaomi AX6000

Ok now it works, ty.
5G and 2.4G are ok.

  1. No AIoT.
  2. No internet indication.
  3. Slow wi-fi.
  4. WAN can't check, but if it possible 2.5 Gb port I wish it would switch to LAN (like a stock)

System load during speed tests and why wi-fi is slow:

This is possible. Just delete the wan/wan6 interfaces and add the wan port to the lan bridge (br-lan). That's all..

is the blue led the right one?

built a new image which may indicate internet / wan (blue led)

this isn't going to get any better without NSS. 5G wifi should be able to reach 500-600 mbps.

Yes it works.

The top LED should light up when the device has an internet connection, even via WWAN. But now it lights up when any cable is plugged into the 1st slot. After I changed the 1st slot to LAN and plugged a cable into it, it lit up.

500-600 is the limit for the entire wireless network, not just for internet speed. This is 10% of the full power. Thank you, man, but it's so bad for the device.

it's less than stock, but not 10%. The theoretical limit of the 5G QCN9024 wifi chip is 4800 mbps, but you will never get anywhere near..

We have this limit on stock configuration. Need more tests with soft: VPN, ADguard, etc. I guess the speed will drop even more...

Ok I upgrade to last image and now I have brick. It’s starting but I can’t connect to WLAN, and all 4 LAN ports are not responding. I’m flashing to stock.

That’s weird because the only change was the led function.. nothing else

Can I ask you to try again using the same image? If the led function causes a brick, I need to change the PR and revert it to how it was before, if the WAN port has a link.

The last update worked here but the WAN LED is off.

@georgem83

I'm doing some tests.

After I enabled:

Force 40MHz mode

I stopped having problems changing channels

And I also enabled Flow offloading type

Hardware offloading type

The wifi speed improved a lot.

Before it was 250MBs

Now 420MBs

Another thing to note is that Signal from the 2.4 network disappears when more than 2 clients are connected.

I tried again and it works normally. But top LED still have no indication.

I tried to install sing-box and got this error.
Does anyone know how to add these missing packages? Or do we need to wait for PR and official release for full functionality?

It’s not officially supported yet, so you’d have to compile the image yourself until then

Is it possible to return opkg somehow in this fw?

No, snapshots have moved from opkg to apk over half a year ago. While opkg could technically still be selected at build time, that's untested - and there are no opkg repositories/ packages for it anymore anyways.

ty, maybe you can then tell me how to add the kmod-tun package on this router?
I tried to compile the firmware from the georgemoussalem repository, without even changing anything, but only for the AX6000 target I have 8 MB of it compiled, which of course does not work.

experimental build:

the global irq (119) which receives link up/down events for pcie1 may actually be incorrect.
This build has irq 111 set as global irq. This may bring up the pcie1 phy which is needed for the AiOT radio eventually.
As always, please upload the boot log..
