8devices has added ipq-5000 support for their Cherry module. Maybe this will help someone.

look for kernel commits, it's what openwrt is waiting for.
no kernel support, no openwrt support.
Hostle has been working on it. And his currently and tirelessly going around gl.inet b3000 and x2000 which use the same chip.
