No. But you can with v4
I tried this, but the router crashed (the lights just turned on and off).
Is there a newer version that I can test? I am using this now :
Use version 19. Newer version works too but you will get fewer ram to use
for mr200 v5 ? where can i download it?
This one. I think you can force update it to this from openwrt
Yeah it's work
Thanks
unfortunately i can't install any useful package because of "The installed version of package kernel is not compatible, require 4.14.267-1-d92769dc… while 4.14.267-1-68757754… is installed."
I think thats because not all packages are available currentlly for that kernel version. Which packages are you installing.
luci-app-sqm
luci-app-vpn-policy-routing
luci-app-nlbwmon
by the way v19 is kind of slow.
right now i have v22 is fast and everything works fine but it would be great if there was no package installation problem. in 22 i have enough space to install wireguard, luci-app-sqm and luci-app-nlbwmon but we have same thing in 22 "The installed version of package kernel is not compatible, require 5.10.161-1-8bb071fd… while 5.10.161-1-f63297a2… is installed"
is there any hope to mr200 v5 be add in the supported devices?
unfortunately my ssd which i used for compiling has broken. i need to restart over in order to make the same compilation again. as an alternative you can use mrhaav mr200 v4 compilation which is available on github. it should work too since the board has the same hardware
can you give me the link please? and what is compilation? what should i do?
i just googled for it. and here is a link
I install it but same thing I can't install anything
" * The installed version of package kernel is not compatible, require 4.14.241-1-d92769dc… while 4.14.241-1-62525490… is installed."
please if you have time later develop a stable version for mr200 v5 (v22 or v23).
router works well but there is no suitable openwrt for it
Ok i will see when i have the time. And it wont be v22 or v23 either. The ram usage is too high on these versions
I didnt test it thoroughly. You can test it for any problem. Problem might arise when the ram reaches certain usage. Maybe after 1 week of use. Either way it is recommended to use higher openwrt versions with higher ram capacity router
OK i will test it for 2 weeks. however i have no other choice because this the only version is stable and works fine.
Btw what do you mean by stable version. I have been using v19 without any issues for weeks. Have you tried installing older packages for v19 kernel. The one that matches the kernel version
sometimes the Status page doesn't load and i have to turn off and on Wi-Fi several times to load it. in general the pages load very slowly even Wi-Fi connects late while i don't have this problem at all in v22. some of the packages i need are old in v19 for example "HTTPS DNS Proxy" does not have the custom section and i think version v19 does not have WPA3 either. you know v19 is old. i have been using v22 for a few days now and i have no problems except installing some packages
