hi bro

Yeah that change makes sense, thanks!

Does LTE work as well? I don't have any extra SIM cards on hand, so I didn't test that

I compiled mr200v4-v23.05.0-rc3, but i cannot get working 5GHz wifi.
its complaining about EEPROM data check failed in dmesg.
I opened this issue where i included more info.

Anyways, i dont know how to connect to LTE.
Its career customized device, i dont have original sim, but on original (career) firmware it was working with sim i have in it. So no sim lock.
Am i supposed to:

  1. use DHCP client on wwan0 interface (IPPT)?
  2. use PPPoE on wwan0 interface?
  3. use PPP on /dev/cdc-wdm0?
    Or something else?
I have no clue how lte modem is working there internally. But i got to modem using adb, so there is separate linux or android firmware running on LTE modem, so it can possibly be implemented in any possible way, depends just on software.

I tried to look at the dump you attached on GH, but nothing really stood out to me. I'm not sure if there could possibly be some difference with the carrier customizations that changes the location or what.

Sadly I don't think I have the dumps from my device to compare to anymore

Could be related to the rebase on 23.05, if you can please check if the old branch works or not.

It's a weird one this, and it's partly why I gave up on it. Yeah they've used some sorta Android SoC for LTE, and connected that to the rest.

I believe it's working with mrhaav's changes to uqmi, so I've rebased to 23.05.5 and applied his uqmi changes in a new branch, basic builds below:
