Adding OpenWrt support for Linksys MR6350

Not only did I install packages associated with the kernel, luci sqm, luci nftables and without problems, a doubt with the factory firmware I managed to obtain a maximum speed of 800 mbps download and 700 mbps upload, with openwrt it does not exceed 500 mbps, is there any solution or does the router with openwrt have any limitations???

Software/hardware flow offloading might increase the speed, but it’s not compatible with QoS/SQM as far as I know.
My internet connection is 200/50 so I don’t have a setup for testing higher speeds.
Searching the forum for ipq40xx speed confirms that the hardware has such limits when using OpenWrt. So there is a trade off regarding speed vs. features

Thank you very much indeed the Software/hardware download activated after restarting the device I can now obtain the maximum speeds, which are the same as what I obtain with the linksys factory firmware, I do not use sqm I only have it in case I need to play with the network speed, I attach the evidence.

Good morning friend, could you publish the newest compilation of openwrt v24. 10.0, since it is only the update and not to install from the factory.???? Thanks👍

Why don't you use an old image version and use the sysupgrade function from OpenWrt?
I uploaded the additional files:

openwrt-24.10.0-ipq40xx-generic-linksys_mr6350-initramfs-zImage.itb
openwrt-24.10.0-ipq40xx-generic-linksys_mr6350-squashfs-factory.bin

I didn't test them, use them on your own risk.

It is my fear, if I update I will lose the factory firmware that I have in the other backup partition in case something goes wrong and the router is not blocked, so I prefer to install openwrt from scratch from the factory firmware.

¿Qué ventajas o qué hay de nuevo en la versión 24? Yo acabo de instalar la 23.0.5...

It is more up-to-date, and it works better for me. I notice it is more responsive and faster.

Good afternoon, I have already configured everything and I have been using the router with the new version for more than a day and everything is excellent, I get better speeds without having to activate the flow download through hardware and software.

Greetings, I wrote to you privately.

@RolandoMagico, Is it convenient to update software packages? I just installed v24

Not sure if I understand the question with the 24.10.0 image, you should be able to install everything which is available on the feeds. Including kernel modules

Good evening, could you add the new version of OpenWrt 24.10.1 for the Linksys MR6350? Thanks.

Sure:

Did a short test:

  • Sysupgrade from 24.10.0 to 24.10.1
  • Sysupgrade back from 24.10.1 to 24.10.1
  • Installed packages including kernel modules
  • Wifi functionality

Good evening, I have installed the new version and everything works correctly. I hope that in the future the router will have an official OpenWRT build.
