Add Support for Wavlink AX3000 travel router WL-WNT100X3

Hi all,
got this device, already running with an Wanlink OpenWRT based on 21.02 SNAPSHOT. Unfortunately seems poorly maintained and not possible to customize much.

AI provided below HW specs:

SoC:      MediaTek MT7981B
RAM:      512 MB DDR3
Flash:    128 MB SPI-NAND ESMT F50L1G41LB
Network:  1×1000M WAN, 1×1000M LAN
Wi-Fi:    MediaTek MT7981B 2×2 DBDC 802.11ax 2T2R
USB:      1× USB 3.0 / XHCI
Fan:      1× 5 V fan
LED:      1× blue status LED

Q:

  1. is there anyone already working on it for getting it officially supported? I noticed a PR, but not clear to me how far it is.
  2. is it likely to get it supported soon, or are there any closed source components which are not easy to be rev. engineered?

Unless someone who owns one does most of the job required, no.

UPDATE:
thx to fildunsky, we have now merged the changes into main branch, so the images are available in SNAPSHOT builds as of today.
