Feature request: Add support for SolidRun ClearFog LX2160A
Device: SolidRun ClearFog LX2160A Rev2 (carrier board)
SoC: NXP LX2160A (16× Cortex-A72)
SOM: SolidRun LX2160A COM Express Type 7 module
Official documentation: https://solidrun.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/developer/pages/197494288/HoneyComb+LX2+ClearFog+CX+LX2+Quick+Start+Guide
**U-Boot:**https://github.com/SolidRun/u-boot
Linux-build (Ubunt-Debian): https://github.com/SolidRun/lx2160a_build
This board is a high-performance ARM64 platform featuring multiple 10GbE interfaces, PCIe, SATA, and up to 32 GB DDR4 — making it well-suited for routing, firewalling, and NAS use cases in OpenWrt.
- Mainline Linux kernel (6.1+) includes support via the upstream device tree:
fsl-lx2160a-clearfog.dtb. - U-Boot is actively maintained by SolidRun and supports boot from SD/eMMC/SPI-NOR.
- No OpenWrt support exists as of the 23.05 release or
masterbranch.
I'm willing to test images, provide hardware access (if needed), and assist with the porting effort.
Would it be possible to add a target for this board under the Layerscape platform?
