I’ve installed adblock , luc-adblock and tcpdump and enabled reporting .
I noticed in the reporting folder files with .jsn and .pcap0
The tcpdump capture *.pcap0 is continuously updating , but the json stays the same size.
Only when i view the report in luci-adblock is the file jsn file in the folder updated with the last queries.
What could be wrong?
Is anything actually wrong? Is it supposed to update the jsn file even if no one is viewing it in LuCI?

I was planning to write a script that extracts data from the .jsn , but that is kind useless this way.
And the Luci-adblock app only displays the most recent requests

Than generate a fresh json before your script runs, just do it like the LuCI adblock app e.g.
/etc/init.d/adblock report gen 10 1000
This generate the latest adblock json with 10 max. top clients and max. the last 1000 requests. A third optional parameter is possible with a search term.
