Ad Blocking for SmartTV and Phone. Worth it?

Hello all.

I'm new here. I have an LG SmartTV and an Android phone that's used as a music source for the stereo.

My plan is to use a td-w8970_v1 which I plan to use as the access point for both the TV and Phone in order to block ads for YouTube and Spotify, among other streaming services.

Will that be possible with OpenWrt? My other option is to use a Raspberry Pi with Kodi, but I'd rather use what I have at home now.

Adblocking on YouTube is extremely difficult / impossible with DNS based AdBlock solutions, since videos and ads are served from the same domain.

I am not sure if the same thing applies to Spotify.

Just for browsing websites Adblocking is definitely worth it :slight_smile:
