Just installed the latest factory on Archer A6 V2. It took me 10 minutes to setup my PPPoE connection, and about an hour to setup Wifi. Now I cannot get my Pi-hole to work. I am successfully able to SSH into both the router and RPi.
I put "6,192.168.0.20" in Network > interfaces > lan and the new devices' IPs are reflected in query log shows answered by 1.1.1.1#53, but the devices gets no internet. Even after removing "6,192.168.0.20", I see my desktop queries in Pi-Hole's query log for some reason, and that's when the internet works. I have zero idea what's going on.
There are a lot of things I need to do and learn, but for now I just need to get my Pi-hole to work. I tried reading the documentation, I tried to find a solution on Youtube but to no avail.
assuming 192.168.0.20 is the IP of the pihole, then the config looks good.
did you reconnect the devices after making the change ?
this config will only refresh when the DHCP lease time expire, or the client gets disconnected from the lan.
I understand. The thing is it used to work without issues and since day 1 with my stock TP-Link firmware. I've made no changes to pihole, just installed OpenWRT this morning and set it up. If configuring pihole as DNS makes internet no work, then pretty sure I'm doing something wrong inside wrt.
I'll figure out why it's not blocking later, after I get internet access when pihole's IP is added.
TP-Link was the DHCP. I tried the other way around too with help via GPT and it didn't work. I decided to go back to the stock firmware and it bricked lol.
Thank you for your time, and sorry that I wasted it.
