A GL.iNet GL-B1300 but USB powered?

Hi,
I'm looking for tips for a good portable router with :

  • openwrt supported SoC
  • at least 128/256 RAM
  • at least 2 radio and mu-mimo
  • ac is good enough, I don't need wifi 6

I was considering the GL-B1300 but you need a wall charger to operate the thing ( ? why ? a portable router with a wall charger ... ) and the AR750 doesn't really have a really good radio / antennas .

The old USB2 spec says a port can only supply 0.5A at 5 volts, which is 2.5 watts. Many chipsets especially those in the mid-performance class need more than that.

not true

  • Battery Charging Specification 1.2 :[25] with increased current of 1.5 A on charging ports for unconfigured devices, allowing High Speed communication while having a current up to 1.5 A and allowing a maximum current of 5 A

from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB

also in 2020 we have USB-C too ...

Using usb-c need usb-c chip, more expensive. Using wall charging are cheaper.
