Yesterday a weird situation.
5GHz wlan was suddenly gone. The 2.4GHz wlan was okay.
After a reboot still gone. Log didn't show anything weird about radio0.
Manually disable and enable radio0 didn't make change.
Second reboot, and just let the AX-1800 stay on for 6 minutes, suddenly 5GHz was back.
No idea why and how this happen, only thing that show it wasn't working was bitrate at radio0 "? Mbit/s" and no SSID visible on clients.
DFS?
DFS is normally active at boot process right? Not when router is on for weeks, and suddenly 5GHz gone.
Well it is working again.

Exactly. If you're on a DFS channel, and say some local radar station comes on at that same channel, you're required to stop using it. So, it's scanning constantly and can cause interruptions at arbitrary times.
If you want to confirm the DFS theory, check which 5 GHz channel the radio uses and try a non-DFS channel for a while (36/40/44/48, if legal for your country). If the problem disappears there, it was probably CAC/radar handling rather than a GL.iNet-specific failure. Also worth checking logread -e DFS -e radar -e hostapd around the time it vanished; the LuCI bitrate showing ? Mbit/s fits the radio being unavailable rather than clients just roaming away.

I keep channels on automatic, because then it can switch without my action when a channel gets full.
It's ok, was first time in a few years that i experience a 5GHz gone for a short time. GL-Inet Ax-1800 hardware is okay, no problems.
