4G LTE dongle for RPI and OpenWRT

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if you have any recommendation considering 4G dongles that works perfectly with Linux without any issues, I would like to create a RPI with OpenWRT inside as a home router.
The good thing that I have all the necessary materials, except for the 4G dongle.
Does any one have any recommendation for cheap dongles that have a good thoughtput without any issues for RPI?

Many thanks,

Best regards,

Alcatel IK40V (supports LTE-Band 1,3,7,8,20)

I use it with the following definition in /etc/config/network

config interface 'wusb'
	option ifname 'usb0'
	option proto 'dhcp'

You have to install the following package: kmod-usb-net-rndis.

Thanks for your recommendation
The issue with IK40V is that it is a little overpriced. I can directly get something like Alcatel mw40V-2aalde for less price, with no need for OpenWRT and RPI.
Any other thoughts, let us say something under 30 dollars.

Also, I do not care for WiFi or WWAN since I have several WiFi dongles

if you have an old Android fone lying unused maybe try usb- tethering?
