4G Data from USB to ETH on Rpi3B+

Dear all,

I would like to use an USB 4G internet Key in order to transfer to the Ethernet port of my 3B+ Rpi. Would OpenWRT be able to do that ?

I will disable Wifi.

The Ethernet Port will be connected to my routeur of my Home installation.

Regards

Yes, it is possible. Just verify that the usb lte dongle is supported.

Plug dongle into a laptop or desktop Linux and confirm it can connect to the Internet under Linux. Check the machine's log to see which kernel driver is in use. Install the same driver on OpenWrt. OpenWrt distribution builds don't come with these drivers built in. The easiest way is to install them using opkg at run-time over an alternative Internet connection.
