25.12.2 dhcp on wan not working

Hi

upgraded to 25.10.2 and I got no internet after reboot.

Found ot that i had no ip on wan. Tried restarting wan interface a copule of times and got an ip address, but could not ping gw or anything else. Was getting frustrated and tried “udhcpc -i wan -R” and got a correct ip and could ping inet and evrything working. After lease timed out faulty dhcp process woult take over unless i set “proto none” in /etc/network

wtf is going on here?

got a Zyxel EX5700 (Telenor) router

Got other people, so testing is limited to nighttime now that I got i somewhat working, found this just very wierd.

Remove DUID in Network Global settings, and reboot

You might also need to reboot the ISP modem first

I get fiber into my house and it’s just a media converter (PON) before the router.

Have not tried rebooting it..

probably nothing, but check if perhaps the EX5601 wan port name change hit this device too - https://openwrt.org/releases/25.12/notes-25.12.0#known_issues....

Ok. tried it now, and rebooted PON at the same time.

It started up and got correct ip, can ping 8.8.8.8 etc.

Wierd thing now is the router is not using dns server from wan/wan6. If I edit /etc/resolv.conf it works again..

DHCP on lan is not sending default gw now. wtf..

ok. all working now, other thing was just me beeing stupid in the past..
