Hi,

It already is https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=24.10.4&target=ramips%2Fmt7621&id=linksys_ea7300-v2.
It is OK to install it from the firmware-selector? I mean the image is ok, not some alpha untested, etc?
It's the same image as on the page you linked to, if it'd have been up to date.
Thank you, @frollic ! ![]()
The EA7300v2 is plainly supported for a long time. 24.10.4 is available just as for any other device. Just make sure you apply the boot tweak as described by the wiki.
Thanks, I’m using the OpenWRT since quite some time now. I was able to update (in my case to re-flash with a factory image, since this is a requirement on my device), install needed packages and restored my old config.
All looks good and is working.
The only thing I need to do next is to look for some tutorial how to make a guest-VLAN for the WiFi. If you have any recommendation, that would be great and very helpful?
Thank you.

Create directly a custom image with all the packages, it's a better practice. In this case install luci-app-advanced-reboot. It allows to reboot to Linksys OEM and flash the factory image (for the next update).
If you plan to use one of the wifi for guests, there is no need of VLAN. Just follow this tutorial.
Thank you very much for that! It is appreciated!
I bought this router specifically for OpenWRT, it was kinda hard to find, since it’s an old model.
I was considering it, I even prepared a full list of the installed packages and curated it with awk but at the end decided to play it safe and installed the rest after the upgrade.
I do have the Advanced reboot it is very useful.
I will check that tutorial, thanks a ton!
Be aware that a PR exists to bring full dual partition support for this device. It has not yet been approved by lack of reviewing.
Would be nice.
Although the current procedure is not a problem.
