I have a tp-link archer C7 V2. Any tidbits?
Yes, it's safe. The service releases (i.e. 24.10.x where x is the service release) are generally very safe to apply as there are essentially never any breaking changes.
Always make a backup just in case, of course, but go ahead and upgrade with the sysupgrade image and you can keep your settings.

Upgrade worked perfectly for V2 and V5 - just use owut or luci-app-attendedsysupgrade if you changed packages or did major configurations (or even if you did not)
Usual precaution - save config backup ![]()
v5 needed to move from -ct to mainline ath10k firmware bc of crashes under mesh & couple of clients.
Yes. Get on the command line and go:
owut upgrade
If the device starts giving you excuses, install owut:
opkg update && opkg install owut
and try owut upgrade again.
