22.03.2 - NAT reflection / hairpinning?

I have a Synology NAS inside my LAN network which does DDNS and it registered the WAN IPv6/IPv4 addresses as its own. From LAN it shows OpenWRT login page.

The issue I am having is that this DDNS whatever.synology.me when accessed from inside LAN should use the local IPv4/IPv6 addresses rather than the WAN. Does anyone have some guidance on 22.03 / nftables - hairpinning or NAT loopback setup instructions?

I know a solution to this problem could be to port forward all synology ports but at this time I only wish to fix the loopback to local IP addresses when traffic originates in LAN segment. I am opening a single port for wireguard to dial back in from WAN for the rest.

Can't reach public IP from within LAN

"NAT loopback" as I've experienced it in OpenWrt - only works on the single IP/net in question. As other options, you'd have to: make a firewall redirect rule that covers the zone/interface/subnet; or DNS entry giving and A Record to the LAN IP For firewall config, I make a rule that allows the traffic and places the packet in the SRC network . This changes the DST IP from the Public to the LAN, and allows the packet to travel using the zones regular routing rules.
