Youhua WS1200, Standard 5GHz settings (country RS) in channel 36, 20 dBm, set two APs, not working, showing 1 disabled but none of them working also when disabling one. Does not assign a mac address to the one AP showing as disabled although enabled.
mt76 broken ?
Did you attempt to associate a client?
yes of course, with 80 MHz bandwidth it never connected
just put channel 'auto' and 20 MHz -> 5 GHz works... strange
just put channel 'auto' and 40 MHz -> 5 GHz works... strange
reboot
still works (40 MHz)
changed to 80 MHz -> 5 GHz not working
here's the system log

Is there a openwrt version which works for Youhua 1200 with 5 GHz ?
Seems other routers with the chipset have the same issue with openwrt https://github.com/openwrt/mt76/issues/199
19.07.0 brought 5 Ghz back on my YouHua 1200js. Had to reset to factory settings and enter all configuration again manually.
After that I could flash 18.06.8 with "keep settings" and keep 5 Ghz too.
Guess in theory it is better to run on new 18.06.8 than on old 19.07.0.
Thanks a lot for sharing your solution !
Yeah, good advice, I‘ll go then for 18.06.8.
Have a great day and stay healthy !
cheers Blinton
Mine is broken too. I have downgraded to multiple builds and it's gone.
Not even a flicker of the LED.
My router is a TEW-692GR Trendnet.
Since upgrading my router can only stay connected for 6-8 mins before dropping and then I can't even find the network unless I pull the plug and reboot.
If i could I'd reflash to the original firmware.
I'm sad, lol.
Factory settings, as in an non Openwrt firmware?
Because that's my aim too but my router can't seem to TFTP
No, I just flashed new firmware, but without the checkmark to keep settings.
Edited:
Thanks for the reply
Now I have upgraded to a resent snapshot. Flashed and kept settings from 18.06.8.
5 Ghz survived.
