19.07.0 upgrade on TP-Link Archer A7 v5 - no 2.4g radio

upgraded to 19.07.0 from earlier snapshot. Wireless overview shows radio0 as Qualcomm Atheros QCA9880 802.11nac and the SSID on this radio is functional.
Radio1 is listed as Generic 802.11bg - Device is not active
Radio2 is listed as Generic 802.11 bgn - Device is not active

Current image only supports 5G channels while 18.06 snapshot had functional radios for both bands

I tried the non -ct firmware and kernel module driver with same results (and have restored back to the -ct firmware/driver)
