I want change old solution with PCI card XI-626. New I have WL-500g Premium with OpenWRT RC6. Problem with signal sensitivities in the client mode.

On the XI.626 I have this same setup, I use this same cable with antenne.

If your antenna is DC shorted like mine (horizontal polarity antennas) maybe there is the problem. I have Linksys WRT54GS v.1.1 in my network and I tried to replace it with ASUS wl-500gP (because of faster CPU and better radio specyfications) but after replacing (same antenna, cables etc) sensitivity was ~ 10dB worse than Linksys! Now I tried  even MikroTik with top grade Senao NMP-8602+ (new Atheros 5006X, top specyfications similar to Ubiquiti SR2) but even with this platform I got worse sensitivity than with Linksys! (ofcourse after backing to Linksys client signal level back to normal)
I'm not 100% sure this is DC shorted problem but I haven't other ideas...

Hmmm, polarity?? I use horizontal polarity for connect to AP, but I never dreamt of it, that is can also be problem. but I was trying all feasible solution with various settings, but not ...  I'd even said as though setup wl0_txant, wl0_txpwr, wl0_antdiv, ... are incompatible with WL500gP.

I probing connection with another AP (home test network), but changing wl0_á setup in nvram I have without respondency. Maybe wl0_gmode with only B specification bears positive results.

How set "antdiv" and "txant" for WL-500gP, I have antdiv 0 and txant 3. Power setting to 30dbm, but this is not effect for transmit :-(
