Topic: 8.09 RC1 on WGT634U: wifi not working when bridged + client mode

My mistake: this is not a bug but a feature.. http://madwifi-project.org/wiki/UserDoc … ssBridging
---
Some feedback after installation of 8.09 RC1 on my WGT634U, working in STA mode:
- when I disable "bridging" of ath0, it works perfectly in WPA-PSK
- when I enable  "bridging of ath0", WPA-PSK associaton fails.

If I bridge ath0 with eth0.0 after that wpa_supplicant has succeeded in associating, the result is still KO : wpa_supplicant receives an event that triggers the deassociation.

Here are the logs of wpa_supplicant:
- OK (bridging of ath0 disabled) : http://stashbox.org/290048/wifiok.txt
- KO (bridging of ath0 enabled) : http://stashbox.org/290045/wifiko.txt

Below, the visual diff (of the part that seems important to me).

Any idea ? Madwifi issue ?

how did you workaround it? I'm trying to configure a bridged client on DIR-300 and have no clue how to enable routing from eth0 to ath0 and v.v.; WPA connects, dhcl leases an IP but any attempts with brctl failed sad

The discussion might have continued from here.
