Just a quick and simple question, can anyone please confirm if it is safe to erase the nvram (mtd -r erase nvram) on a WRT54GL v.1.0 AND v.1.1.
I've checked the wiki, but there's conflicting information...

yes , this leave the minimal nvram variable to openwrt can work

I can confirm the WRT54Gv4 is safe (exactly a WRT54GL v1.0 I've always heard). I do it religiously when flashing anything new for the most repeatable start point (and un-DD-WRT'ing it 
). My WRT54GSv3, also.
